Ninoska Medel

Ninoska is an orchestra conductor trained at the University of Chile, with a Master’s degree in Musical Interpretation with a mention in Orchestral Conducting from the Faculty of Arts. She is currently the Principal Conductor of the Coquimbo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Metropolitan Children’s Symphony Orchestra (FOJI). 

Since 2019, she has been a part of the board of the Women’s Orchestras of Chile Foundation, a non-profit organization that works with women performers, composers, conductors, sound technicians, and audiovisual producers in the field of classical music. In addition to her artistic work, she has been a prominent advocate for the visibility of women orchestral musicians, conductors, and composers in Chile. She has participated as a speaker in symposia on gender topics in Santiago, Valparaíso, Montevideo, and Buenos Aires.
